About your Host

I never thought I'd still be doing this job after 20+  years!

I started with no background in the industry in 2001. It began as a necessity as we were young and just starting our family. We needed a space for my family and also we had to find other means to supplement our mortgage payments towards an enormous debt at the time.

Being a Filipina in my genes gives me the natural advantage as our culture generally has the reputation of being one of the most hospitable beings in the world. We generally love to entertain and tend to want to feel connected with our guests, and given some time; we eventually feel that we become like family or close friends.

​

Having a natural talent and eye for art, I've personalized all our suites at Mistiso's Place, Morning Star & Bunkieland with their own distinct and unique character, making each place a unique space for anybody that appreciates personal touches and artsy, eclectic decor. I'm a Virgo, so I tend to be a perfectionist and put a lot of attention to detail.

Why do I host? It's the guests, my co-workers, and the knowledge, wisdom, and friendships that I've gained over the years that make this the best job for me ever! I genuinely enjoy and LOVE what I have gotten to do every day for the last 20 years.

Seeing smiles, hearing stories, and reading glowing reviews online make all the hard work pleasurable. These validations give my team and myself great joy and satisfaction to know that we're doing something good for the world- one stay at a time.
